Bearden girls’ soccer wins its third 3A state title in a row

The Lady Bulldogs defeated Ravenwood in a 4-0 victory to cap off an undefeated season with their third consecutive championship title.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The Bearden Lady Bulldogs soccer team finished off another undefeated season on Saturday after defeating the Ravenwood Raptors for their third 3A state championship in a row.

The team secured the victory with an impressive 4-0 win and finished with a 22-0-1 record.

The Lady Bulldogs are regarded as one of the best teams in the nation and are ranked eighth in the country. 

Breana Mendoza scored the first goal early on in the first period. A few minutes later, Senior Rylie Lucas added to the Bulldogs' lead to make the score 2-0.

With 24 minutes left in the game, Nyla Blue cuts through several defenders and finds Alivia Stott who puts in another Bearden’s goal.

A few minutes later, Stott put in the final goal for the Lady Bulldogs to make the final score 4-0.

This championship win gives the Lady Bulldogs their 5th championship victory in program history.
