The Big Ten and Pac-12 cancelled fall sports for 2020. SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey commented on those decisions on Tuesday.
"I look forward to learning more about the factors that led the Big Ten and Pac-12 leadership to take these actions today," Sankey said in a statement.
Sankey has stood firm on the SEC's plans for the fall. As of now, football practice starts on Aug. 17 and the regular season starts on Sept. 26.
"We believe we set a responsible plan," he told ESPN on Tuesday morning. "Our responsibility is to make sure our campuses can open in the best way possible, and it was a wise decision to slow down the start of the season, and we've adjusted preseason practice and done that in a way I don't think anyone else has."
