Knox County Schools cleared the way on Thursday for Mark Blevins to return as Bearden High School's boys basketball coach.
The program's all-time wins leader is expected to resume as coach on Friday, when Bearden was scheduled to play Farragut, but the game has been postponed due to anticipated inclement weather.
"I will take over our team again on behalf of our players, our former players, student body, Bearden community and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ beginning (Jan.) 22," Blevins said in a text message to the News Sentinel.
