KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The path to Paris is underway and for swimmers, it's starting in Indianapolis. The U.S. Olympic Swim Trials will take place at the Lucas Oil Stadium from June 15 through June 23.
The University of Tennessee said four of its swimmers will compete in the trials.
Erika Connolly
Erika Connolly is a UT alum who tallied 22 All-America certificates and 18 SEC titles. She became the first woman in SEC history to win the same three events (50 free, 100 free and 100 fly) in three consecutive seasons, according to Tennessee Athletics.
In her career, she has won a pair of World Championship titles with the American team at the 2022 World Championships. She also has a total of five Short Course World Championship titles as part of the US relays, according to Tennessee Athletics.
Connolly will compete in the Women's 100 Free and 50m Free event.
Josephine Fuller
Josephine Fuller is a junior from Richmond, Virginia and is part of Tennessee's second-ranked 2021 signing class, according to SwimSwam. Her position on Tennessee Aquatics is back/IM.
Fuller is ranked as the No. 9 overall recruit in the 2021 signing class by SwimSwam and was a top 50 prospect on SwimCloud. She is also an NCSA Junior National Champion and an Olympic Trials Qualifier.
Fuller will compete in the Women's 200m back, 200m IM, 100m butterfly and 100m back events
Camille Spink
Camille Spink is a freshman from Haymarket, Virginia and swam for Nation's Capital Swim Club, according to Tennessee Aquatics. Her position on the team is free/back.
Spink is ranked as the No. 8 overall recruit in the 2023 signing class by SwimSwam and No. 1 from Virginia. She is also a three-time Virginia High School 6A State Champion in the 50 and 100 freestyle events in 2023, 2022 and 2021, according to Tennessee Aquatics.
She will compete in the Women's 200m free, 100m free, 200m IM and 50m free events.
Kate McCarville
Kate McCarville is a junior from Springfield, Missouri. Her position is fly/IM.
In her junior year, she was an A finalist in the 500 free and 1650 free, as well as scored points in the 200 fly during the SEC Championships, according to Tennessee Aquatics.
McCarville will compete in the Women's 400m free, 200m free, 1500m free, 200m butterfly and 800m free events.
