PARIS, France — A powerhouse in the pool, Katie Ledecky has had quite the career.
Ledecky finished the Paris Olympics securing gold in the women's 800m freestyle. She is the first woman in history to win the same individual event at four Olympics (London, Rio, Tokyo and Paris).
In the Paris Games, Ledecky won four Olympic medals in total. She won the medals in the following events:
- Bronze in women's 400m freestyle with 4:00.86 time
- Gold in women's 1500m freestyle with 15:30.02 time
- Silver in women's 4x200m freestyle relay with 7:40.86 time
- Gold in women's 800m freestyle with 8:11.04 time
Ledecky's medal in the 800m free marked her 9th gold medal, her 14th Olympic medal overall. According to Team USA, Ledecky broke the record for most Olympic gold medals won by a woman in Team USA history.
