How to watch the 2024 Paris Olympics live on Peacock

Peacock will show every competition during the summer games between July 26 and Aug. 11.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The 2024 Paris Olympics are almost here, and many of the summer games' competitions and events will only be available to watch on NBC's streaming app, Peacock.

Olympics coverage is scheduled for July 24 through Aug. 11.

Coverage of the opening ceremony is scheduled to begin on Friday, July 26 at noon EDT on NBC and Peacock, and primetime coverage is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. on NBC.

NBC said Peacock will show every competition live. Coverage will also appear on the USA Network, CNBC, E!, GOLF Channel, Telemundo, Universo and NBCUniversal’s digital platforms.

Peacock is $5.99 per month for the premium subscription with ads. It’s $11.99 for the premium plus option without ads.

Mike Tirico will host two daily Olympics shows, one during primetime in Paris (2 p.m. to 5 p.m. EDT) featuring live competition in marquee sports like swimming, gymnastics and track and field. The second show will air during primetime hours in the United States while Paris sleeps and will be a curated view of the day's best action.

NBC recently displayed some of the new features it has planned for coverage the Olympics, including the end of "plausibly live" coverage.

The network announced the full roster of hosts and commentators for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Some notable celebrities joining Olympics coverage include Kelly Clarkson, Snoop Dogg, Jimmy Fallon, Peyton Manning, Alex Cooper, and Leslie Jones. Also, Kevin Hart and Kenan Thompson will be hosting an Olympics highlight show on Peacock.

Peacock is also using AI to allow fans to create personalized highlight packages that will be narrated by an AI-generated model of Al Michaels' voice. NBC estimates it will create about 7 million variations of highlight packages through the new service.
