KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee's latest availability report was released Thursday evening, detailing which players would sit out the school's highly-anticipated matchup against Georgia and which had a chance to sit out.
Nico Iamaleava, a popular quarterback, was listed as still "questionable" ahead of the game — meaning there was a possibility he would sit it out. Dylan Sampson, a running back for Tennessee, was not on the availability report and is expected to play.
Trevor Etienne, a running back for Georgia, would also sit out the game, according to the latest report. Georgia reported four players in total would sit out the game and three were listed as "questionable."
Teams need to release availability reports on Wednesday nights, and updates need to be released on Thursday and Friday nights before a final report must be posted 90 minutes before kickoff.
Players are either listed as out, doubtful, questionable or probable in the reports. The Southeastern Conference said the reporting policy is meant to reduce pressure from "outside entities" who may want information about players participating in games.
A list of the Tennessee student-athletes out for the game is available below.
- Jourdan Thomas (Defensive Back)
- Keenan Pili (Linebacker)
- Edwin Spillman (Linebacker)
- DeSean Bishop (Running Back)
