KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — For the first time since 2010, the third ranked Tennessee men's tennis team advances to the final four of the NCAA Tournament.
The Vols defeated No. 11 Georgia, 4-1, to advance to the final four.
The win was the Vols second win over Georgia this season.
Tennessee had to rally behind in singles after the Vols dropped the doubles point, for just the sixth time overall in 2021.
Fifth year senior Luca Wiedenmann singles win on Thursday was the 20th clinch of his career and his first since the Vols 4-2 win over No. 5 Texas on February 14th.
No. 3 Tennessee men's tennis advances to NCAA Semifinals
The Vols are now 4-2 when dropping the doubles point claiming victories over Ole Miss, Auburn, LSU and Georgia.
