Every program in the University of Tennessee athletic department again posted scores safety above any dangerous spots in the NCAA’s Academic Progress Report (APR) rankings, which were released Wednesday.

Two Tennessee programs — women’s swimming and diving and women’s tennis — posted perfect scores of 1,000 in the four-year period ending in the 2014-15 academic year, and even football (the lowest-scoring) posted a 956, which was nine points more than the national average and in the 40th-50th percentage nationally.

Vols football posted an impressive 975 in the 2014-15 period, which brought up the four-year average by several points. It’s been a big turnaround for a program that dipped itself into the penalty zone with a Multi-Year score of 924 in the 2011-12 APR.
