Peyton Manning is scheduled to announce his retirement at a news conference at 1 p.m. ET Monday.
The five-time NFL MVP is retiring after 18 seasons in the NFL, and two Super Bowl victories.

Jan. 25, 1994: Peyton Manning commits to Tennessee. Manning chose to play at Tennessee rather than attend Ole Miss, which is his father's alma mater.
Oct. 1, 1994: Manning wins his first collegiate start. Injuries to Jerry Colquit and Todd Helton forced Manning into action the week before against Mississippi State. Manning won his first start against No. 17 Washington State in a 10-9 home win.
Dec. 30, 1994: Tennessee beats Virginia Tech 45-23 in the Gator Bowl. Manning was 12-of-19 throwing for 189 yards in the Vols win over the Hokies. Manning went 7-1 in his first season as Tennessee's starter.
Oct. 14, 1995: Manning and the Vols beat the Alabama Crimson Tide for the first time in 10 years. Manning threw for 301 yards and the Vols won 41-14.
Jan. 1, 1996: The Vols beat the Ohio State Buckeyes 20-14 in the Citrus Bowl. Manning completed 20 of 35 passes for 182 yards and one touchdown.
Jan. 1, 1997: Tennessee knocks off Northwestern 48-28 in the Citrus Bowl. The victory over Northwestern gave Manning his third bowl game victory in three years.
March 5, 1997: Despite some projecting Manning to be the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft, Manning said he'd stay at Tennessee for his senior season.
Sept. 20, 1997: Manning falls to Florida for third season in a row. The No. 1 ranked Gators beat the Vols 33-20. Manning was 0-3 in his college career as a starting quarterback against Florida.
Nov. 22, 1997: Manning passed for a school-record 523 yards in a 59-31 win over Tim Couch and the Kentucky Wildcats. The two quarterbacks combined to throw 1 yard short of 1,000 yards.
Dec. 6, 1997: Manning leads Vols to 30-29 comeback SEC Championship win over the Auburn Tigers. Manning was named the game's MVP throwing for 373 yards and four touchdowns.
Dec. 15, 1997: Manning finished second in the Heisman Trophy race. Michigan's Charles Woodson won the award over Manning, Ryan Leaf and Randy Moss.
Jan. 2, 1998: Tennessee falls to Nebraska 42-17 in the Orange Bowl. Manning was 21-of-31 throwing for 131 yards in the loss. He finished his Tennessee career with a 39-6 record.
April 18, 1998: The Indianapolis Colts selected Manning with the first overall selection of the 1998 NFL Draft.
Jan. 16, 2000: Manning made his first playoff start as the Colts fell 19-16 to the Super Bowl bound Tennessee Titans.
Feb. 6, 2000: Manning threw for two touchdowns in his first Pro Bowl, but the NFC beat the AFC 51-31.

Jan. 18, 2004: Tom Brady beat Manning for the first time in the playoffs. The New England Patriots beat the Indianapolis Colts 24-14 in the AFC Championship Game. Manning was 23-of-47 throwing for 237 yards, a touchdown and four interceptions.
Dec. 26, 2004: Manning threw his then NFL-record 49th touchdown pass of the season, surpassing Dan Marino's 20-year-old NFL record. Manning would go on to win his second-straight MVP award.
Jan. 16, 2005: Patriots beat the Colts in playoffs for a second-consecutive season. Brady improved to 6-0 in head-to-head matchups (regular season and playoffs) against Manning.
Oct. 29, 2005: Tennessee retired Manning's number 16 jersey before its contest against South Carolina. Manning is among eight Vols players who have had their jersey numbers retired.
Sept. 10, 2006: Peyton Manning won his matchup against his younger brother Eli. The Colts beat the New York Giants 26-21. It was the first time in NFL history that two brothers started as quarterbacks against each other in a game.
Feb. 4, 2007: Manning wins his first Super Bowl. Manning was named the Super Bowl XLI's Most Valuable Player, completing 25-of-38 passes for 247 yards and a touchdown, with one interception. The Colts beat the Chicago Bears 29-17.
March 24, 2007: Manning hosted Saturday Night Live on his 31st birthday.
Jan. 21, 2007: The Colts knocked off the Patriots 38-34 in the AFC Championship. It was the first time Manning beat Brady in the playoffs. Manning was 27-of-47 throwing for 349 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
Jan. 3, 2009: Manning won his third NFL MVP award. Jim Brown, Johnny Unitas and Brett Favre were three-time MVPs.
Jan. 9, 2010: Manning won his NFL-record fourth MVP award. Manning threw for 4,500 yards and 33 touchdowns in the 2009-2010 season.
Feb. 7, 2010: The Colts lost to the New Orleans Saints 31-17 in Super Bowl XLIV. Manning was 31-of-45 with 333 yards passing, throwing for one touchdown and one interception.
May 23, 2011: Manning has surgery to fix bulging disk in his neck. Manning had multiple neck surgeries, which held him out of play during the 2011-2012 season.
July 31, 2011: The Colts signed Manning to five-year contract for $90 million. Manning was due to receive $69 million in the first three years of the contract.
Sept. 9, 2011: Manning has neck fusion surgery. Multiple media outlets reported Manning had four neck surgeries, which held him out of play during the 2011-2012 season. The Colts went 2-14 with Manning out.
March 7, 2012: The Colts cut Manning. The team had to cut Manning to avoid paying him a $28 million bonus from the $90 million, five-year contract he signed in July.
March 21, 2012: Manning signed a five-year deal with the Denver Broncos worth $96 million.
Dec. 22, 2013: Manning sets single-season record with 51 touchdown passes. He would go on to throw 55 touchdown passes in the 2013-2014 season.
Feb. 1, 2014: Manning wins his fifth NFL MVP award. Peyton Manning's son Marshall and father Archie collected the NFL MVP award on his behalf at the 3rd Annual NFL Honors at Radio City Music Hall.

Feb. 7, 2016: Manning won his second Super Bowl title, and the Broncos won Super Bowl 50 over the Carolina Panthers by a final score of 24-10.
Feb. 10, 2016: A Title IX lawsuit against the University of Tennessee said that a trainer named Jamie Whited reported that Manning had "sat on her face" while she was assessing the extent of an injury.
Whited in 1997 settled a claim with the university for $300,000. Manning said what Whited saw was him mooning another athlete.
Feb. 24, 2016: The University of Tennessee wants to strike a reference to a 20-year-old training room episode involving quarterback Peyton Manning from a federal lawsuit, arguing it's "immaterial, impertinent and scandalous."
"The allegation does not involve the plaintiffs. The plaintiffs do not allege they were students at UT in 1996, nor that any of the current administrators were employed by UT at that time," the motion states.
