DENVER — Newly elected Baseball Hall of Famer Todd Helton was honored during Rockies Fest in Denver on Saturday.
The Colorado Rockies annual fan festival features player and coach autograph sessions, Q&A sessions, behind-the-scenes fan experiences, kids activities, Rockies Family Feud, a garage sale and more events and activities.
Saturday's festivities were capped off with a celebration at 4:17 p.m. for Helton in McGregor Square outside Coors Field. The full event schedule can be found here.
Helton will likely be one of the main draws after he was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York with nearly 80% of the vote in his 6th year on the ballot. His support has risen steadily in recent years despite some criticism related to the offensive boost Coors Field provides in the thinner altitude of the Mile High City.
He averaged a .316/.414/.539 slash line on his way to accumulating 2,519 hits, 369 home runs and 1,406 RBIs. He also won three Gold Gloves.
According to the website, tickets for the general public are sold out, but are still available for season ticket and Mini-Plan Passport holders.
