SAN DIEGO — Former Tennessee outfielder Jordan Beck got his first career Major League Baseball home run on Wednesday afternoon.
Beck launched a two-run home run in the sixth inning of the Colorado Rockies' game against the San Diego Padres to make it a 7-0 Colorado lead. The left-field shot also marked the third and fourth RBIs of the game for Beck, who hit a two-RBI double earlier in the contest.
The Rockies called Beck up to majors in late April, and he collected his first MLB hit in his first-ever major league plate appearance.
Beck was drafted by Colorado in the 2022 MLB Draft, with the 38th overall pick in the Competitive Balance Round A.
