KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Three Tennessee baseball standouts were honored as Perfect Game USA preseason All-Americans on Thursday afternoon.

Pitcher Drew Beam and infielder Billy Amick were named second-team selections, while infielder Christian Moore landed on the third team.

Beam returns as the Vols' top starter following the losses of Chase Dollander and Andrew Lindsey to the MLB Draft, while Chase Burns transferred to Wake Forest.

The Murfreesboro native has collected numerous accolades over his first two seasons at Tennessee. Beam has compiled a 17-5 record as a starter with a 3.20 ERA and 150 strikeouts in 160.1 innings pitched.

Amick comes to Tennessee as a transfer following an All-American and All-ACC season at Clemson, who had its season ended by Tennessee in the NCAA Regional.

In his sophomore season in 2023, Amick posted an eye-popping stat line of a .413 batting average with 13 home runs and 63 RBI along with 37 runs, 17 doubles and two triples. He also rattled off a ten-game hitting streak for the Tigers last May.

Third-team selection Christian Moore was an NCAA Tournament hero for the Vols last season and was named the NCAA Clemson Regional MVP after multiple clutch efforts in the postseason.

Moore has hit .304 over his first two seasons at Tennessee and has hit 27 home runs with 86 RBIs in 114 games played for the Vols.

Tennessee baseball will begin the 2024 season taking on Texas Tech in the Shriners Children's College Showdown in Arlington, Texas on Friday, Feb. 16.
