KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee Linebacker, Elijah Herring, entered the transfer portal on Monday night.
Herring totaled 87 tackles, 5.0 TFLs, two sacks, and two QB hurries in his two year Tennessee career. The sophomore also played in 25 career games and made 11 starts.
Last season, Herring played in all 12 games and started the last 11 for Tennessee. He also led the team with 79 tackles, while also notching 32 solo and a single sack.
On April 15, Herring posted on the social media platform X that he was thankful to Coach Huepel and the University of Tennessee for allowing him to play in his home state. He then announced he decided to enter the transfer portal and pursue other college opportunities.
