Tennessee Football stays at No. 7 in the College Football Playoff rankings

Unbeaten Oregon remains in the top spot of the CFP rankings, followed by Ohio State and Texas.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The College Football Playoff selection committee revealed its second CFP rankings Tuesday night, with Tennessee remaining at No. 7. 

The new-look College Football Playoff will feature a 12-team field at the end of the season. Those teams will consist of the five highest-ranked conference champions, along with seven at-large bids among the highest-ranked remaining teams. The four highest seeds will receive a first-round bye.

Undefeated Oregon sits atop the first CFP rankings of the season, while Ohio State, Texas and Penn State round out the top four. Georgia loses its No. 3 spot, ranking at No. 11 this week.

Tennessee will travel to Athens and take on Georgia on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m.

The first round of the College Football Playoff will begin on Friday, Dec. 20 and Saturday, Dec. 21.
