Tennessee Football falls to No. 11 in latest College Football Playoff rankings

The Vols fell four spots following their loss on the road against Georgia.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee Football fell to No. 11 in the most recent College Football Playoff rankings, announced on Tuesday night.

The Vols lost to Georgia 31-17 in a crucial road game in Athens this past Saturday, which vaulted the Bulldogs to No. 10 in the CFP rankings.

Tennessee also became the fifth-highest-ranked SEC team, falling behind Texas, Alabama, Ole Miss and Georgia.

Oregon held its spot at No. 1, and the top 12 teams in the rankings are as follows:

  5. Indiana
  6. Notre Dame
  7. Alabama
  8. Miami
  9. Ole Miss
  10. Georgia
  11. Tennessee
  12. Boise State

The final CFP rankings of the season will be revealed on Sunday, Dec. 8 following conference championship games.
