KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The SEC conference announced Tuesday morning that Rickea Jackson was named to the All-SEC First team for the second consecutive season. The star forward is now the fifth Lady Vol to earn this back-to-back achievement since 2012. Meighan Simmons, Isabell Harrison, Reenia Davis and Jordan Horston are the four other players to repeat the honor.
Jackson leads in scoring for Tennessee with 19.7 points. She also averages 7.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. In SEC play, Jackson averages 19.9 points per game, which is third-best in the conference.
With Mississippi State, she was previously named to All-SEC Second-Team honors in the 2019-20 season.
In the 2023-24 regular season, Tennessee finished 17-11 overall and 10-6 in conference play. The Lady Vols earned the fifth seed in the SEC Tournament, and their first matchup in the second round will be against the winner of Wednesday's game, which will be between No. 12 seed Kentucky and No. 13 Georgia.
The tip-off for that matchup is on Thursday afternoon in Greenville, S.C., at 2:15 p.m.
