KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee utility player and Omaha native Dalton Bargo hit two home runs in Sunday night's Knoxville Regional to help the Vols defeat Evansville and advance to the College World Series in his home state.

Bargo got the start on Sunday as Tennessee's designated hitter, and left the yard in the second inning to give the Vols a 3-1 lead over the Purple Aces. He added to his big night with another home run in the fourth inning to put Tennessee ahead 6-1.

Bargo attended Westside High School in Omaha, just ten miles from Charles Schwab Field, the site of the College World Series.

The sophomore transferred to Tennessee from Missouri this past offseason.
