KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee women's basketball made another portal addition and signed Clemson transfer guard Ruby Whitehorn on Monday afternoon.
In two seasons with the Tigers, the 5-foot-11 guard started a combined 62 games and averaged 12.3 points per game and 5.6 rebounds as a sophomore in the 2023-24 season. She was also an All-ACC Freshman Team selection in 2022-23.
"I'm really excited about what Ruby will bring to the program," said Kim Caldwell, Tennessee's head coach. "She is one of the best downhill scorers I've had the opportunity to see, and her athleticism will help us greatly on the defensive end. She is a natural fit for our program, and I can't wait for her to get on campus and see what she can do in our system."
Whitehorn's commitment marks the fourth transfer commitment for Tennessee women's basketball this offseason. She is a former top-15 recruit and was a McDonald's All-American coming out of high school.
