KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — After not being selected in the 2024 NFL Draft, Tennessee tight end McCallan Castles, wide receiver Ramel Keyton and tight end Jacob Warren are just three of eight former Vols signing as undrafted free agents.
Castles is heading to the Philadelphia Eagles, Warren is signing with the New England Patriots and Keyton is joining the Las Vegas Raiders.
Castles played just one season at Tennessee after the previous three seasons at UC Davis. He played all 13 games for the Vols as the backup to Jacob Warren. He had 22 receptions for 283 yards and five touchdowns last season. His five receiving touchdowns were the most by a Vol tight end since Mychal Rivera logged five in 2012.
In five seasons at Tennessee, Ramel Keyton caught 86 passes for 1,456 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also led the Vols in touchdown receptions on the year and tied for 10th in the SEC in that category.
As a tight end for five seasons, Jacob Warren had 53 receptions for 607 yards and eight touchdowns during his time at Tennessee. Last season, he had the best season of his career, notching 16 catches for 191 yards and four touchdowns while averaging 11.9 yards per catch.
New England also took former Tennessee quarterback Joe Milton in the sixth round of the draft, so he'll have a familiar target in Warren for the next chapter of their football careers.
Several other former Vols signed as undrafted free agents, including Dee Williams and Arron Beasley to the Seahawks, Gabe Jeudy-Lally and Jabari Small staying in Tennessee as Titans, Jeremiah Crawford joining the Panthers, and Jaylen McCollough signing with the Los Angeles Rams.
