BOULDER, Colo. — Highly-coveted five-star class of 2024 offensive tackle Jordan Seaton turned down a seven-figure Name, Image and Likeness offer at Tennessee to commit to Colorado instead, sources tell WBIR.
Sources said Tennessee and its NIL collective were feeling good about their chances of landing the final uncommitted five-star recruit in the 2024 class in the days leading up to his decision, and Seaton's ultimate choice of Colorado came as a surprise.
Colorado did not appear to be one of Seaton's top six schools ahead of his final decision, and it was believed that Tennessee would be contending with Ohio State and Oregon for Seaton's commitment.
Seaton received 33 offers in total, according to 247Sports. He went on his official visit to Tennessee on Nov. 18 when the Vols hosted Georgia, who was the top-ranked team in the nation at that point.
The 6'5" tall IMG Academy product is listed as the top offensive tackle in the 2024 class and the 15th-best recruit in the nation according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He is the first five-star commit in Colorado's 2024 class.
