Tennessee lands elite class of 2026 quarterback Faizon Brandon

Brandon is ranked as a top-five quarterback across multiple outlets and is also considered a five-star prospect by some.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee football made a big splash with its first commitment in its 2026 class from elite quarterback Faizon Brandon, he announced Saturday.

Brandon is widely regarded as a top quarterback in his class and is even ranked as a five-star prospect the number one overall recruit, according to 247Sports.

The Greensboro, N.C. product chose Tennessee over Alabama, LSU and NC State. Brandon received 25 offers overall, according to 247Sports.

"Really the feel I got when I first stepped on campus there, you know it was a very foamily feel," Brandon said after committing. "Every time I went back it kept getting better. I had great relationships there. I knew I can be developed into a great quarterback so that's definitely the place I think is best for me."

He said he knew for a couple of weeks before making his official announcement UT was the place to commit to.

The 247Sports composite list rates Brandon as a four-star recruit and the fourth-best quarterback in the class of 2026.

Brandon is listed at 6-foot-3.5 and 197 lbs. and plays for Grimsley High School in Greensboro.
