KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee second baseman Christian Moore set a new program record for home runs in a single season in the Vols' matchup against South Carolina on Thursday.
Moore hit his 25th home run of the season to surpass the previous record of 24 home runs, first set by Sonny Cortez in 1998. Moore previously tied that mark in Tennessee's game against Belmont on Tuesday, May 14.
"An absolute rocket to set the single-season program record!" Tennessee Baseball said.
He also extended his own program record for all-time home runs with his 52nd career home run at Tennessee.
