Campbell County football hires Mark Pemberton as head coach

Pemberton most recently coached for over a decade at Rhea County. He won a state title as the head coach at Knoxville Catholic in 2008.

JACKSBORO, Tenn — Campbell County High School announced the hiring of Mark Pemberton as the school's new football head coach, the program announced Friday.

Pemberton has been a high school football coach for the better part of four decades and earned his first head coaching job at Rockwood High School in 1986. Most recently, he has been the head coach at Rhea County since 2013.

According to Campbell County, Pemberton boasts the third-highest win total among active Tennessee head coaches with 250 and has also led 14 teams to ten regular season wins, and seven teams to undefeated regular seasons. Pemberton led Knoxville Catholic to a perfect 15-0 campaign and a state championship in 2008.

Pemberton replaces Justin Price, who took the head coaching job at Grace Christian. Price had been the head coach at Campbell County since 2011.
