The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced Saturday that Lady Vol Tamika Catchings was among those selected for the Class of 2020.

Catchings won a national championship with the Lady Vols in 1998, won a WNBA title in 2012, was a 10x WNBA All-Star and won four Olympic gold medals for Team USA. Catchings ranks No. 4 all-time on the Lady Vol scoring list.

UT Athletics said, "Catchings follows in the footsteps of her head coach at Tennessee, the late Pat Summitt, who was the first and only other person associated with the Lady Vol program to be welcomed to that hall."

In addition to Catchings, Kobe Bryant was officially elected into the Hall of Fame.

Bryant and fellow NBA greats Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett are also part of this year's nine-person class.

They all got into the Hall in their first year of eligibility, as did Catchings. Two-time NBA champion coach Rudy Tomjanovich finally got his call, as did longtime Baylor women's coach Kim Mulkey, 1,000-game winner Barbara Stevens of Bentley and three-time Final Four coach Eddie Sutton.
