Kiki Milloy earned the home run queen title earlier this year in the 2024 season. Against Alabama in Game Two of the conference series, she wrote her name in the record book again.
At the top of the seventh inning, Zaida Puni hit a two-RBI home run to give Milloy her 256th career run, breaking the Tennessee softball program record on Friday night in Tuscaloosa.
Former Lady Vol, Aubrey Leach previously held the record, finishing her career with 255 runs in 2019. Earlier this season, before Milloy broke the home run record, head coach Karen Weekly called her a "generational player." Despite a lower leg injury that kept her out of a few games in the middle of the season, she has shown resilience and leadership for this Tennessee team.
Milloy is chasing more history this season as well. On the season so far, she has 140 stolen bases. Milloy needs three more to break Raven Chavanne's career-high record of 143 which she's held onto since 2012.
