KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee got the backups in against Chattanooga in week one of their college football season, which meant local product DeSean Bishop got playing time.
The Karns High School graduate scored his first touchdown as a Vol inside Neyland Stadium, putting up UT 55-3. He scored on a 22-yard run to the endzone.
Bishop participated in fall camp last season but would miss the rest of the season with an injury. He earned a redshirt for that season.
Bishop was a standout in high school, winning back-to-back Mr. Football honors in the 5A classification. He originally committed to Coastal Carolina before choosing Tennessee as the right location for him instead.
