KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Sources say Tennessee basketball landed Charlotte forward Igor Milicic from the transfer portal on Monday, April 29. The 6'10, 225-pound big man averaged 12.8 points and 8.5 rebounds per game in his junior season at Charlotte.
In his second season in the Queen City, Milicic Jr. started in 30 of the 31 games he played, and in 20 of those games, he scored in double figures. Last season, he shot 48.7% from the field and was the team's top free-throw shooter at 81.8%. He also led the team in made threes, scoring 56 triples on the year.
Milicic Jr. was named a Third-Team All-American Athletic Conference selection after an impressive junior season leading the 49ers. He's Tennessee's third pick-up from the transfer portal, including former Hofstra guard Darlinstone Dubar and former Ohio State center Felix Okpara.
Tennessee has three remaining scholarships left. Four-star guard Bishop Boswell is one incoming signee the Vols have picked up.
