KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Knox Catholic girls’ basketball star Sydney Mains became the school’s all-time scorer for girls’ or boys’ basketball on Tuesday night against Chattanooga Christian.
The Lady Irish senior and Florida Atlantic commit drained a three-pointer in the Senior Night matchup and closed out the regular season atop the KCHS record book.
The record was set by B.J. Edwards at 2,240 points .Mains now has 2,247 points in 115 games.
Mains was also revealed to be a Tennessee Miss Basketball finalist earlier this month.
Knox Catholic girls’ basketball will begin the postseason this Saturday in the region tournament. Mains led the Lady Irish to the 2023 II-AA championship last season after the team fell short in the title game the year before.
