MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Gibbs softball won the 4A state championship on Friday in Murfreesboro.
They took down Carter 6-1.
Gibbs took a 4-0 lead. Carter scored their only run in the bottom of the fifth inning. However, the Eagles tagged on two more runs to seal the deal.
This is Gibbs' 11th state title in program history. Their last one came in 2017.
