KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Zack Turner, a Gibbs High School point guard, was honored for reaching a career-high 1,000 points before the team's Friday night win against Union County.
To achieve this milestone, the 5'10" tall junior scored 23 points in a game against Halls on Dec. 1.
Turner has scored in double digits in the Eagle's last seven games, including a 30-point performance against Carter on Dec. 4.
He dedicated his accomplishments to his Pops who is battling esophageal cancer.
Next up, the Eagles take on West Greene in Mosheim, TN on Dec. 21. That game starts at 7:30 p.m.
