KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A former Tennessee player will not appear in Neyland Stadium alongside his new Kentucky teammates on Saturday when the two teams are set to face off in an evening matchup.
Rocky Top Insider, an online publication that reports on the Tennessee Vols, said Gerald Mincey was listed as "out" on Wednesday's availability report. The reports are a new requirement that must be released by teams before matchups, detailing whether players are likely to participate in a game.
Mincey transferred to Kentucky from Tennessee for his senior season, after transferring to Tennessee from Florida for his sophomore season. Rocky Top Insider said he missed last week's game against Auburn due to an injury.
He was one of 10 players on Kentucky's team expected to be "out" for Saturday's matchup, according to Rocky Top Insider. The Tennessee side saw three players listed as "out" for the game, as well as two "questionable" players.
