INDIANAPOLIS — Two former Tennessee quarterbacks and teammates will coach against one another in the NFL on Sunday.
Jim Bob Cooter, who was a backup quarterback from 2004 to 2006 and then was a graduate assistant at Tennessee, is the Indianapolis Colts' offensive coordinator. Bo Hardegree was a backup quarterback from 2003 to 2006 and is the interim offensive coordinator for the Las Vegas Raiders.
Both were teammates during then-head coach Phillip Fulmer's tenure. Their two teams will play on Dec. 31 at 1 p.m. in Indianapolis.
Cooter rejoined the Colts in 2023 as the team's offensive coordinator after he was an offensive assistant from 2009 to 2011. He has coached for 13 years in the NFL, with 15 years of total experience.
Bo Hardegree was named interim offensive coordinator of the Las Vegas Raiders on Oct. 31, 2023. He has coached in the NFL for 10 seasons and has 15 years of total experience as well. The game will air on CBS at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
