KNOXVILLE, Tennessee — After entering the transfer portal in late March, former Vol Jalen Johnson announced on Friday he will be transferring just an hour and a half down the road to Johnson City to play for Steve Forbes and ETSU. Stadium's Jeff Goodman was the first to report.
Johnson joins an ETSU team that finished 30-4 overall last season, 16-2 in conference play, and would have played in the NCAA tournament had the spread of COVID-19 not canceled the postseason.
Johnson is coming off of a career year at Tennessee, logging a career-high in nearly every category including minutes (15.7 per game), points (2.3 per game), and rebounds (2.0 per game).
