KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Former Tennessee quarterback Josh Dobbs scored a touchdown in NFL preseason play on Saturday night.
Dobbs, with his new team the San Francisco 49ers, ran in a touchdown against his former team the Tennessee Titans.
In March, Dobbs signed a one-year deal with the 49ers after a season where he started many games for the Arizona Cardinals and Minnesota Vikings.
He played in eight games with the Cardinals last season. He threw for 1,569 yards and eight touchdowns. He ran in three more.
He played five games for the Vikings. He threw for 895 yards and five touchdowns. He ran in three other touchdowns.
Dobbs will play as backup to 49ers starting quarterback Brock Purdy.
