FARRAGUT, Tenn. — On Friday, Farragut Baseball won its third consecutive 4A state championship with a 3-1 victory against Nolensville in Murfreesboro.
The Admirals now have 12 state championships in program history, which ties the state record for most wins by a single program.
Farragut scored most of their runs early and closed it out by the end. In the third inning, Jake Merrick hit an RBI single to extend the Admirals' lead, to 3-1.
That score remained the same for the rest of the game, and the Admirals were just three outs away from a three-peat. First baseman Michael Delf made the game-winning out in the seventh inning to close out the game.
