(JOHNSON CITY) - ETSU football comes back this fall, and hopes to open a new home stadium in 2017.
The university announced details of the new facility today, estimating it will cost $26.615 million to build.
ETSU says the stadium will have a capacity of over 10,000, and will be located on the southwest corner of campus.
It will include skyboxes, club seats and a field house facility, along with nearly 4,000 parking spaces surrounding the stadium.
Former Atlanta Falcons Head Coach Mike Smith and country music star Kenny Chesney -- both ETSU graduates -- are co-chairs of the stadium fundraising committee.
The Bucs have scheduled their Sept. 5 season-opener to be played at Science Hill High School, and are still negotiating a contract to play all of their home games there in 2015.
