FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Will Brooks, Tennessee redshirt senior defensive back, was selected as the Burlsworth Trophy Walk-On of the Week.
The safety from Birmingham, Alabama led the No. 7 Vols with eight tackles—two of which saved touchdowns—and added one tackle for a loss during the Alabama vs. Tennessee game.
Brooks secured the 21-17 win with a diving interception towards the end of the fourth quarter. According to Pro Football Focus, he was the highest-graded defender in the game.
The Burlsworth Trophy annually recognizes the most outstanding college football player who began his career as a walk-on.
