KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee football has moved up in the Associated Press Top 25 poll, going from No. 7 to No. 6 on Sunday afternoon. The new spot comes after the Vols' swift domination of Kent State Saturday with a final-game win of 71-0.

Tennessee takes the spot held by Missouri in last week's AP Poll., where Tennesssee had ranked No. 7. Last season, Tennessee was not ranked at all.

Five teams now sit in front of UT in the rankings. Texas, Georgia, Ohio State, Alabama and Mississippi take the top five in that order, with Texas taking first place in the college football poll for the first time in 16 years. For the second week in a row, the SEC continues to hold six of the poll's top seven spots.

On Saturday, Sept. 21, the Vols will travel out of state to face off against Oklahoma for their fourth game of the season. The game is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be televised live by SEC Network.
