KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The US LBM Coaches Poll is finally out and Tennessee is ranked No. 15 in the preseason poll.
In last year's preseason coaches poll, the Vols were ranked No. 10 and the final ranking results of the 2023-2024 season had Tennessee at No. 17.
Six SEC teams are ahead of the Vols, including No. 1 Georgia, No. 4 Texas, No. 5 Alabama, No. 6 Ole Miss, No. 11 Missouri and No. 12 LSU.
No. 16 Oklahoma and No. 20 Texas A&M are the two other SEC teams behind Tennessee—giving the conference nine total teams listed in the rankings.
Tennessee plays two top-25 teams in the first month of their season. The Vols play No. 22 NC State in a neutral site game on Sept. 7, and in the same month, Tennessee plays No. 16 Oklahoma in its first road game on Sept. 21.
