Everything you need to know before heading to the Citrus Bowl

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Heading to Orlando to see the No. 21 Tennessee Vols take on the No. 17 Iowa Hawkeyes in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl? Here's what you need to know.

Game Information

The game will take place at Camping World Stadium on Monday, Jan. 1 at 1 p.m. You can watch the game on ABC. 

Tickets for the game will be mobile only, similar to the system at Neyland Stadium. Fans are encouraged to download their tickets before arriving at the stadium. Screenshots of tickets are not valid for entry. 

Travel Information

It takes about 10 hours to travel by car from Knoxville to Orlando. Alternatively, Allegiant Airlines offers non-stop flights between the two destinations.

Parking Information

All stadium parking lots are manned and reserved for permit parking on gameday. You can buy a parking permit here. All parking lots (except bus parking) will allow tailgating. 

If you don't have a parking permit, you are encouraged to park downtown and use the City of Orlando's free shuttle service on game day. 

Pregame Events

There will be an official pep rally for both teams on Sunday, Dec. 31. The Pride of the Southland Band, Vol cheerleaders and head coach Josh Heupel will make a special appearance during the pep rally. It's taking place at Pointe Orlando at 4:45 p.m. 

A UT alumni group is hosting a Smokey's New Year's Eve Bash at Renaissance Orlando at Sea World on Dec. 31 from 9 p.m. to 1 p.m. You can purchase tickets here.

The official bowl pregame tailgate party is being held at Tinker Field next to Camping World Stadium on the day of the game. This free pregame party will feature interactive games, inflatables, face painters and more. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from local vendors. 

For $100 a ticket, fans can enjoy a private VIP area next to Camping World Stadium that features lounge seating, all-inclusive food and beverage, live music and more. The teams’ marching bands will also make special performances.
