'This man gives his all for his guys' | VFLs post on social media that transfers should commit to Tony Vitello and Tennessee

VFLs Drew Beam, Drew Gilbert and Jordan Beck took to social media to urge transfers to go to UT if they want to develop into better players.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee baseball just won the national championship and the momentum will be great for recruiting.

As the season comes to a close, head coach Tony Vitello and his coaching staff will hit the recruiting trail to reload the roster for next season. They are getting some help from VFLs who played on the national title team and past players.

"If you are a high school player or a guy in the transfer portal, there is no other man in this world you should want to play for," Vols pitcher Drew Beam wrote on social media about Vitello. "This man gives his all for his guys and would go to war for us. Ask anyone who has ever played for him. Go Vols, baby!"

Former Tennessee center fielder and professional baseball player Drew Gilbert also gave his pitch on social media.

"If you’re a hitter in the transfer portal and you want to actually develop, you’d be crazy not to choose Vol_Baseball," he said. "Check the numbers if you don’t believe me."

The numbers show a lot of power-hitting numbers that have broken NCAA records or come close. The Vols are the first team ever to have five players hit over 20 home runs in a season. They also finished second all-time in NCAA history in team home runs with 194 home runs. That's four behind the all-time record set by LSU in 1997.

Former Tennessee left fielder Jordan Beck weighed in too.

"If you are in the portal, @Vol_Baseball has a home for you," he said. "The best staff in the country. You will develop, compete, and win. Plain and simple. Do not expect hand outs, you have to earn it. For hitters, "

is a legend just check the track record.

Others like Blake Burke wrote coming to Tennessee was the best decision he ever made.

The Vols claimed an SEC regular season title, SEC Tournament title and the national championship all in the same year.
