Top five Vol Super Bowl performances

Ahead of Super Bowl LII, we take a look back at the top five performances by former Vols in the Super Bowl.

Bill Anderson played for the Packers in the first Super Bowl and since then 60 more Vols have appeared on a Super Bowl active roster, according to NFL.com.

Rookie defensive end Derek Barnett is the latest Vol to play in the big game. He suits up for the Eagles on Sunday.

Here's our list of the top five Vol performances in the Super Bowl:

5. Willie Gault, Chicago Bears, Super Bowl XX

The speedster hauled in 4 catches for 129 yards in the Bears win over the Patriots in 1986 and then did the Super Bowl shuffle.

4. Alvin Harper, Dallas Cowboys, Super Bowl XXVII and XXVIII

Alvin Harper earned two rings with the ‘90s Cowboys, catching a 45-yard touchdown in Super Bowl XXVII in Pasadena then following it up the next year with three catches for 75 yards in Atlanta.

3. Jamal Lewis, Baltimore Ravens, Super Bowl XXXV

The 21-year old rookie rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown in the Ravens Super Bowl XXXV win over the Giants.

2. Peyton Manning, Indianapolis Colts, Super Bowl XLI

The only Vol to win a Super Bowl MVP, he captured the Lombardi Trophy in his first appearance in the big game, throwing for 247 yards and a touchdown.
