KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee superfan Luke Jackson now has a tattoo of Vol baseball head coach Tony Vitello.

Jackson got a tattoo of Josh Heupel smoking a cigar after the Vol football team beat Alabama in that epic game in 2022.

The Vitello one is right beside the Heupel one with the NCAA championship trophy.

“This one just seemed fitting,” he told WBIR.

Jackson said the idea has been floating in his mind since 2022 as the Vol baseball team has been achieving a lot of success.

He got the Heupel tattoo because of a bet, but this one he did because he wanted to. Jackson has 10 other Tennessee-related tattoos like the Vol Navy logo and Smokey.

“I remember going to baseball games as a kid and they would basically let you in or bribe you with a hot dog just to get you to come and watch the game,” he said. “Back then there might be 100 people in there but now you can’t find a ticket. Tony is just the man. I got to meet him a couple of years ago before he became what he is now. He is just an awesome person.”

He got to show the Heupel one to the coach. He hopes to show the Vitello one to him as well.

“I would love to let him be able to see it,” Jackson said.

Jackson said he has left space by Heupel for a trophy when his time comes. He also would get a Rick Barnes one if a trophy comes for the men’s basketball team.
