GAINESVILLE, Fla. — No. 3 Tennessee baseball had its series opener with rival postponed on Thursday.
Due to lightning and rain in Gainesville, the game was unable to get underway.
Instead, the Vols will now play a doubleheader on Friday with Game 1 starting at 3 p.m. Game 2 will begin 45 minutes following the conclusion of Game 1.
Tennessee is on a heater in SEC play, winners in 10 of their last 11 games. They are 15-6 in SEC play. Florida was ranked by D1 Baseball in the preseason and many expected them to be a top team in the conference. However, they are 9-12 in conference play.
The Vols are coming off a loss to Lipscomb 9-6 on Tuesday, their first midweek loss of the season. They look to bounce back in this SEC series.
