KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — No. 9 Tennessee completed the sweep of No. 12 Missouri with a 4-0 win on Sunday inside Sherri Parker Lee Stadium.
After winning the first two games of the series on Friday and Saturday, the Lady Vols looked dominant again.
In the second inning, Laura Mealer hit a solo home run that would end up being the only run UT needed, but they added more. They did it with more power, too.
In the third inning, McKenna Gibson hit a two-run home run for a 3-0 lead. Kiki Milloy went hard in the fifth inning with a solo shot to make the score 4-0.
Karlyn Pickens had a great day on the mound. She pitched a complete game, allowed just three hits and struck out 11 batters.
The Lady Vols play next on the road on Thursday at Western Carolina. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.
