KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee men's tennis is moving on to the Elite 8 for another season.
The Vols punched their ticket with a 4-3 win on Saturday afternoon against Florida State inside Barksdale Stadium in Knoxville.
UT was tied 3-3 after losing the doubles point and winning three singles matches. Angel Diaz won a third set tiebreaker to give the Vols the win they needed to punch their ticket to the championship site in Stillwater, Oklahoma, for the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals on May 16.
They have now advanced this far in the tournament in three of the last five seasons. They did so in 2021 and 2022 as well.
They will play Texas next.
