KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee landed a big transfer from Ole Miss with third baseman Andrew Fischer on Tuesday evening.
Fischer played last season with the Rebels after playing for Duke the season prior. Last season he played in 49 games as a sophomore, had a .282 batting average,17 home runs and 44 RBIs.
He was selected to the All-SEC second team.
He is the third player to transfer to UT this offseason after the Vols won the national championship. Tanner Franklin, a pitcher, will join from Kennesaw State. Niagara first baseman Eric Rataczak will come to Rocky Top as well.
Center fielder Hunter Ensley also announced his return for a redshirt senior season on Tuesday.
