KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee Baseball set an SEC record on Friday night against South Carolina.
With a Blake Burke grand slam in the seventh inning to give the Vols an 8-3 lead, the Vols hit their 11th grand slam of the season. That broke their tie for the conference record with LSU at 10 grand slams in a single season. The record was set back in 1998.
Burke hit the towering shot to center field to break the record.
It was Burke's second grand slam of the season. Cal Stark has also hit two. Christian Moore, Dalton Bargo, Dylan Dreiling, Billy Amick, Robin Villeneuve, Reese Chapman and Dean Curley each have one.
