KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee softball won their season opener on Saturday afternoon against Stetson.
The Lady Vols won 8-0 by mercy rule in five innings.
Karlyn Pickens pitched all five innings only allowing one hit and zero runs.
Laura Marlet hit a 2 RBI triple in the fifth inning. Kiki Millay and Zaida Puni each had home runs in the fifth as well as a part of a six-run outburst to win the game by mercy rule.
